"Pickles" was the product of a very special mating for us in 1988 as it was the combining of our first two champions - Ch Jenroy Pop My Cork To Walkon and Ch Slightly Sloshed Of Sunhawk At Walkon.

Indeed "Pickles" was a very special child. She had a lovely head even as a baby and stood like a dream. She romped through the puppy classes gaining her Junior Warrant at Championship Shows with ease and promised to be the next champion for Walkon.

Sadly her fiery temperament was her undoing and we finally gave up the struggle to show her despite her qualifying as one of the top 10 winning bitches in 1990.

She did however prove to be a big hit in the maternity stakes producing two champions in her first litter to Dolf The Buhe Farm Of Marbleton. They were the brothers Ch Walkon Dutch Courage and Ch Walkon Tee Total, resulting in "Pickles" achieving the British Boxer Club's Dam Of Merit in 1993.

She is also the dam of Walkon Uppa Gumtree (see News & Views photo on the home page) and her litter sister Walkon Wallaby both of whom won well at championship show level.

"Pickles" remained a much loved house bitch right up until her death in January 2001 which was very much the end of an era for Walkon.
